Kahlo Top - Linen - Blue
There is a relaxed elegance to the Kahlo collection. The embroidery detail is exquisite, and the linen itself is remarkably soft to the touch.
It's the kind of piece that always feels good against your skin — one you'll reach for again and again.
The style of embroidery is specific to each region — a visual signature of where the piece was made, throughout the highlands of Mexico. The traditional brocade designs seen in the Kahlo blouses trace back to the Classical Maya period and have been used in ceremonial dress ever since.

Cut as a simple square silhouette, but the drape falls in a way that's naturally flattering — softening at the shoulder to create the effect of a cap sleeve. Side slits at the hem allow ease of movement. Can be worn tucked in or loose. True to size.
LARK'S NOTE
The Kahlo collection is dear to my heart because I love the hands behind it. My friend Pedro runs the cooperative in Mexico that creates these beautiful pieces, and I always say — if he'd been born in a "fashion hub" of the world, he'd be famous. He has an incredible eye and an obsessive attention to detail; every stitch has to be perfect. I've worn mine for ten years now, and it only gets better.
