Marina Top - Lavender, Purple
Wear something entirely your own — and rich with meaning. The repeating embroidery in the Marina Top features a traditional geometric design, with an inner diamond framed by pepen, or butterfly wings. In Mexican folklore, the butterfly is associated with transformation, the sun, and feminine strength.
This top has a substantial hand — a thicker weave of cotton that feels grounded rather than flimsy, in colors so rich they do half the styling work for you. Every stitch is precise, the mark of a master weaver working in the highlands of Mexico.

Lark's Note
There's something special about knowing that something is one of a kind, and made by someone who takes pride in their work. The Marina Top is made by a master weaver who is deeply respected in her community. In fact, her work is immediately recognizable by her peers. I remember meeting Manuela and learning about the symbolism of the butterfly. She and her friend Mariana taught me that if you ever see a sculpture or representation of a god in Mexican art, and it has a butterfly on it, it means that it's actually a goddess!
