Mexican textiles reflect a passion for color, pattern, and design. Using centuries-old techniques, women embroider symbols and intricate patterns into their clothing with meanings dating back to the Mayan era.

Otomi textile is hand-woven on muslin in Mexico

Each Otomi or Tenango textile is hand embroidered on muslin by the Otomi Indians in the Mexican state of Hildalgo, reflecting the culture’s passion for color and design.
